Tom Landon, a Lawrence North student class of ’81, recently came to LN to talk to students about his accomplishments.
Tom’s class were the first freshman at LN, he claimed to be a “trouble maker” while here at LN witch included a visit to the principles office the morning of graduation.
After high school Landon attended Indiana University where he majored in telecommunications.
He went on to be a disk jockey for a radio station, he soon realized he wanted to pursue a career in television and got a job working as a camera man for PBS. Still not finding this job “stimulating” enough he went on to independently film documentaries, including the 2007 award winning documentary “A gift for the village”.
Tom’s advice for the students was, “Don’t be afraid to change your mind”, “Travel every chance you get” and “say yes”.
