Lawrence North High School has recently started hosting “Great Decisions.” This is the first time they have been held at LN since the program started over 30 yeas ago.
Junior wins orchestra competition
Lawrence North junior Jameel Martin recently won the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. His performance with the viola clutched him the victory going up against some of the best high school musicians in the state. Even to qualify for this competition musicians need to have been accepted for the Side-by-Side orchestra, where students musicians perform
Student athletes sign at colleges
Thursday, Feb. 2 was National Signing Day. At LN, seniors Christa Hammond and Clair Spleth signed to Division I schools with scholarships. Band performs “Pops” Concert
LN band performed a free “Pops” Concert Wednesday, Feb. 8. The music played included music similar to film, pop culture, circus and cartoon genres. During the show, sophomore Elizabeth Niemiec presented “A Tribute to Louis Armstrong” in celebration of black history month, accompanied by the wind ensemble.
